Virtual Test Drive

StreetLight's Virtual Test Drive is a Smart Phone-based approach to showing drivers how a new transportation product impacts their life. The reference implementation (Virtual EV Test Drive) demonstrates how certain electrified vehicles (EVs) affect vehicle range, the driver's lifestyle and pocketbook. Virtual Test Drive helps drivers explore new offers and generates customer leads for offerings such as car sharing, UBI, transit alternatives and innovative vehicles.

Reference Implementation: Virtual EV Test Drive

The Virtual EV Test Drive tracks the way an individual drives a conventional vehicle using a Smart Phone app, then simulates how various electrified vehicles would perform driving the same route in the same manner. Once the user installs the app on a smart phone, it runs in the background, logging data only when the driver is in a vehicle. The driver never has to remember to turn it on and off 

StreetLight aggregates data from many users to help system planners prepare their community's infrastructure to make the transition to electric transportation as smooth as possible (all while protecting user's privacy, of course!).
